MVEA Committees work together to promote education, horsemanship, and the sport of Eventing in our community. Below is a brief description of each committee. If you are an MVEA member interested in joining our efforts, please contact us!
Fundraising Organize, and lead MVEA fundraising efforts and events (eg. horse shows). Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors and sponsors. Work in coordination with all other committees to develop, promote, and execute fundraising events. All MVEA members are expected to lend a hand in fundraising events put on by the organization.
Education Generate, organize, and present educational opportunities such as schooling days and clinics for MVEA members and the equestrian community.
Annual Meeting Plan the MVEA Annual Member Meeting; venue, guest speaker(s), etc. Coordinate with other committees to promote involvement and provide communications regarding the Meeting.
Cross Country Implement approved plans for the cross-country course at the park, asses existing jumps and footing and develop plans to improve and maintain the course. Coordinate with other committees to organize and execute "work days" regularly. Work with fundraising committee to generate ongoing and future funding towards the course and footing.
Stadium and Dressage Develop and implement plans for maintenance and improvement of stadium jumps and jumping areas, stabling area, dressage areas, and arena equipment (e.g. rings, judge booths, letters). Asses existing structures, footing and equipment, create and maintain plans for future actions needed, and coordinate with other committees to organize and execute "work days" regularly.
Pony Club Outreach Cooperate and communicate with the area Pony Clubs to foster positive working relationships and encourage their involvement in MVEA's vision to maintain the park.
Friends of Twin Towers Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with other user groups of Twin Towers Horse Park. Website and Social Media Build, maintain, and regularly update the MVEA website, Facebook page, and other social outlets. Generate and present original content to promote education and involvement.
Membership Maintain MVEA membership roster and distribute welcome information to new members. Coordinate with fundraising committee to develop and expand member benefits.
Volunteering Maintain and grow a volunteer contact list, enlist and coordinate volunteers for MVEA educational and fundraising events. Develop and lead efforts to encourage future and ongoing volunteerism toward MVEA's missions.
Points and Awards Develop and implement award and point systems for Year End Awards, Coach of the Year, and MVEA scholarships. Coordinate with fundraising and annual meeting committees to acquire awards for presentation at the MVEA Annual Meeting.
Nominating Communicate with current MVEA members, committee members, and Board members to create a nominee list for possible incoming Officers and Directors; nominees for the upcoming year to be voted on at the Annual Meeting.
